A Nurturing Place for Education & Enrichment
Sowing Seeds With Faith’s Summer Academic Enrichment Camp aims to reduce summer learning loss and help students recover skills from the school year while also providing exposure to new experiences through engaging enrichment activities and educational field trips. The program seeks to close existing achievement gaps, strengthen scholar resilience, and support youth in developing their social and emotional skills.
A Full Day of Learning
Our camp provides a full-day experience that blends academics in the morning with enrichment in the afternoon, giving scholars both the knowledge and life skills they need to grow. Morning classes in math, reading, financial literacy, and Black history strengthen core skills while fostering cultural pride and preparing students for the future. Afternoon sessions in art, karate, yoga, and DJ encourage creativity, confidence, and teamwork. Together, these experiences ensure that scholars continue learning through the summer while also developing personally and socially.
Expanding Horizon through Exposure Trips
At the end of each summer, following the academic and enrichment camp, scholars participate in exposure trips that extend learning beyond the classroom. scholars in kindergarten through fourth grade traveled to Cincinnati to explore the Children’s Museum, Great Wolf Lodge, and the Newport Aquarium, while scholars in fifth through eighth grade visited Sandusky for Cedar Point Amusement Park and other local experiences. These trips serve as a capstone to the summer, providing opportunities scholars might not otherwise have and reinforcing our philosophy, “You can’t reach what you don’t know exists.” By broadening horizons, building confidence, and fostering curiosity, these experiences leave lasting lessons and memories that carry into the school year.
